Environmental protection
Recycling is extremely important. Cast components are the most environmentally-friendly products, and are being manufactured more and more efficiently, while environmental protection systems are also being continually improved. Environmental mould materials and core sand systems are now an accepted part of the manufacturing process. The reduction of unavoidable waste is a major task.
Recycling
With regard to the use of raw materials, we benefit from the recycling capability of our products: the primary material itself (e.g. iron ore) can be used for our cast components without any loss of quality. The proportion of secondary materials used, such as cast iron and other scrap, is almost 90%. We have therefore largely realised the principle of an almost closed material loop.
